Bad Religion – amerykańska grupa punk rockowa, utworzona w Kalifornii w 1979 r. przez Grega Graffina (wokal), Bretta Gurewitza (gitara) oraz Jaya Bentleya (bas) i Jaya Ziskrouta (perkusja). Od początku Bad Religion krytykuje "amerykański sen", a nazwa zespołu "zła religia" oznacza sprzeciw wobec wszelkiej zorganizowanej religii.

Skinny Puppy - kanadyjska grupa eksperymentalno-industrialna założona w 1982 roku przez cEvina Key’a oraz Niveka Ogre. Wspólne zainteresowania obu muzyków zaowocowały wydaniem, już rok po powstaniu, debiutanckiego wydawnictwa „Back And Forth”. W pierwszym roku działalności z zespołem współpracował Bill Leeb, twórca grupy - Front Line Assembly, uformowanej w 1986 roku tuż po odejściu z szeregów Skinny Puppy.
Łączenie skrajnie odmiennych form sztuki wymaga geniuszu balansującego na granicy szaleństwa. Zazwyczaj takie eksperymenty prowadzą do donikąd. Połączenie mrocznej dźwiękowej awangardy z muzyką taneczną w ekstremalną, hipnotyzującą całość udało się niewielu. Trzech ludzi, kryjących się za nazwą Skinny Puppy, dokonało tego w sposób budzący u jednych podziw, u innych zaś niesmak i przerażenie.
Jedną kopię kasety „Back And Forth” (z 50 dostępnych) wysłano do lokalnej wytwórni Nettwerk, która w tym samym roku postanowiła wydać ich płytowy debiut „Remission”. Latem 1986 roku od zespołu odszedł Bill Leeb a na jego miejscu pojawił się Dwayne Goettel.
Skinny Puppy to zespół, którego nie da się zaszufladkować do jednego gatunku muzycznego. Formacja była już utożsamiana z gotyckim industrialem, jednak łączenie skrajnie odmiennych form ekspresji, geniuszu oraz szaleństwa owocuje czymś, do czego nie da się przypiąć żadnej łatki. Jest to połączenie mrocznej dźwiękowej awangardy z muzyką taneczną przechodzącą w hipnotyczny trans.

Warzone was an American hardcore punk band formed on the Lower East Side of Manhattan in 1982. The band helped develop the New York hardcore sound, the hardcore skinhead style and the youth crew subgenre. During the band's 15 years and many line-up changes, their primarily hardcore sound was flavored by influences ranging from Oi! (they toured several times with The Business and played a cover of their song The Real Enemy), to traditional punk rock, and a heavy metal phase (on their self-titled LP, Warzone). Their fan base was diverse, with their concerts usually attended by skinheads (both anti-racist and racist), straight edge teens, metalheads and punks of all ages.
Frontman Raymond "Raybeez" Barbieri was the band's only consistent member, from its formation until Barbieri's death on September 11, 1997 due to pneumonia. A U.S. Navy veteran, he was receiving treatment in a Veterans Health Administration facility when the illness damaged his liver and took his life at the age of 35. For more than a year following his death, every release on the Victory Records label was dedicated to his memory, as well as two independent compilations. These albums — as well as benefit concerts following his death — raised funds for several non-profit groups Ray had worked for which helped at-risk youth.
The band featured several non-white members through its history. Tim Glomb of MTV's Viva La Bam played guitar in 1993 and wrote the song "Can I Get A Witness" on Old School to New School. Barbieri sang lyrics urging unity and spoke out strongly against anything that divided the youth of America against itself. Their song "Under 18" decried the age-based discriminatory practices at many venues that demanded IDs for entry; "War Between Races" demanded an end to racial violence and prejudice within the hardcore scene, and "Brother and Sisterhood" encouraged young women and girls to become active in the traditionally male-dominated hardcore punk scene.
Their concerts were often marred by violence, so Barbieri usually sang out in the crowd, using it as an opportunity to stop fights before security could respond. This tactic often cooled tempers more quickly than stopping the show might have, and prevented fans from being escorted out of the show. His position in the crowd rather than elevated on a stage also endeared him to fans in a way few other performers in the genre have ever achieved. Warzone fans were not simply encouraged to sing along, they often dictated the band's entire set list and even decided how long the group would play, with some sets lasting until Raybeez could barely speak.

Death Punch brings society to life through punk rock Los Angeles, CA – Death Punch’s message comes through loud and clear with the energetic new punk anthem “Obstacles,” featured on the previous LP “Is This The End?” “Death Punch is a band driven by an open and honest view of society that is brought to existence through punk rock,” exclaims one member of Death Punch. “The sound of Death Punch is a message of day-to-day life, struggle, hope, partying and politics.” The scope of Death Punch’s songwriting brings it into contact with everything from social commentary to a look at the sheer thrills and hurdles of existence. Anti Cimex were a Swedish hardcore punk band, based in Skövde, Göteborg, Linköping, and Malmö, at different times, that formed in 1981. They were one of the first bands to define Scandinavian hardcore punk. Their second 7", Raped Ass, is considered to be a subgenre-defining D-beat record. Scene historian Peter Jandreus describes the group as the most famous Swedish punk band of the 1977-87 era.
Their name is taken from the Swedish pest control company with the same name, the name of this company, in turn, comes from the Latin name of a particular type of bedbug; Cimex.
