The Battalion of Saints are one of the more hard core punk bands from there time.
Starting in 1980 out of San Diego,Their songs were nonstop blasts
of adrenaline and raw power. The Batts were one of the most furious and
nihilistic bands that were ahead of there time.
In 5 years the band accomplished unforgettable performance's leaving
a deep impression and influence on the punk rock scene.
The original band broke up in 1985. The mainstay of the band is the singer, George Anthony.
In 1995, George reformed the band with his friend Terry Bones
(Discharge, Broken Bones, U.K. Subs). Who helped write new songs with driving
guitar trax for George to scream his fucking guts all over,
Sounding comparable to any number of the old hair razing jams.
Completing a full U.S. tour that year with L.A.'s Total Chaos.
Battalion of Saints made it's returned to the punk scene.
To the East coast and back in 4 brutal and fun filled weeks the band was reborn.
Still alive and kicking with help and love from many friends along the way
The band is reformed again and on it's way to continue to blow doors with a new C.D.
And of course preforming the unforgettable epic brutal hits with just as much love
and hate that pushed there cutting edge hard core hits up your ass and in your face.
The original Battalion of Saints lineup put out the "Fighting Boys" 12" EP,
and the "Second Coming" LP, plus numerous compilation tracks.
Most of this material has been re-released on the "Death-R-Us" CD available on Taang! Records.

History
Early
Formed by guitarist Vinnie Stigma (formerly of the Eliminators) in November/December 1980, with Diego on bass and Rob Krekus on drums. Agnostic Front went through a few singers, two of them being John Watson and Jimmy "The Mad Russian", before settling with Roger Miret (former bass player of The Psychos). They soon added Ray Barbieri, aka Raybeez (Warzone), on drums and Adam Mucci on bass. Their debut EP United Blood, released in 1983 on an indie label, has since become a collector's item. At this time, the band consisted entirely of skinheads. Although this would change over time, Agnostic Front would continue to feature skinheads as part of their line-up.
The follow-up, Victim in Pain (1984), is regarded as a seminal New York hardcore release. Dave Jones replaced Raybeez on drums and Rob Kabula on bass. In 1984, Jimmy "The Kid" Colletti from Justified Violence joined on drums as the band went to tour with The Exploited later that year. The album pushed the band to the forefront of New York's fledgling hardcore scene, which was centered around CBGB, where they played with bands like The Cro-Mags and Murphy's Law. Roger Miret asserts that all the songs on the album "are totally inspired by the streets of New York and my life and what was going on with my friends. It was dangerous. We did what we had to do to survive by any means necessary. It was like a war or a battlefield, and we stood our ground".
1986's Cause for Alarm was a difficult album to record, due to constant line-up changes and personnel problems. Released on Combat Records, it added thrash metal influences. With other bands such as Suicidal Tendencies and Stormtroopers of Death, this album would mark AF's foray into the world of crossover thrash. It also featured some lyrics written by Peter Steele and drumming by Louie Beateaux (also of Carnivore)
With yet another new line-up, the band soon released Liberty and Justice for... in 1987. The album featured stripped down punk with a lack of thrash influences, yet it contained many metal-style guitar solos. It did not sell nearly as well as previous releases. Sometime later, Miret was arrested on drug charges after releasing a live album, and spent his time in prison writing new songs while Stigma and the band toured Europe for the first time. The lyrics written by Miret while incarcerated formed most of 1992's One Voice, which featured members of Madball and Sick of It All. Not long after its release, the band decided to call it quits. Their last show was at CBGB on December 20, 1992; Last Warning, which was also released with United Blood EP on the end of the release. Vinnie Stigma apparently remarked that he hated Last Warning.
Later
Stigma and Miret reformed Agnostic Front in May 1996 and did a few reunion shows in December 1996, signing to Epitaph Records and recruiting Jimmy Colletti on drums and Rob Kabula, who was playing with Against The Grain at the time, on bass. Their latest venture was titled Something's Gotta Give, although Miret announced in the U.K. the original title would be Today, Tomorrow, Forever. In 1999, they followed up with Riot, Riot, Upstart. They also won an MTV award for the title track music video. Their comeback albums have sold well and been mostly acclaimed by music critics for their pure hardcore punk/oi! sound.
In 2001, they released the album Dead Yuppies. Songs from this album were rarely played live, as the band considered it more a product of Loved and Hated, Jimmy Colletti's side-project band.
In 2002, Miret worked on a side-project band, Roger Miret and the Disasters, looking for a sound akin to old school punk rock and oi!. Also that year, the band appeared in Matthew Barney's film, Cremaster 3 along with Murphy's Law.
Agnostic Front came out in 2004 with Another Voice. The album was regarded mainly as a follow-up to One Voice. The album, however, did receive some criticism from fans and the press for apparently changing their music to fit the current wave of 'tough guy' bands. Musically, the album bears resemblance to bands that were heavily influenced by Agnostic Front, such as Hatebreed. Miret's vocals on the album particularly seemed to turn off many less hardcore punk-oriented fans. Later, the track "Peace" was contributed to the mash-up album Threat: Music That Inspired The Movie, where it was remixed by Schizoid and renamed "World At War."
On March 7, 2006, Agnostic Front released their long-awaited DVD "Live at CBGB". This follows the efforts of many bands that tried to save CBGB from shutting down. Even though Miret claims that "We played more shows at CBGB than any band ever, and we played more benefit shows for CBGB than any band ever" when the club did close most nostalgia focused on 1970's punk bands.
On November 6, 2007, Agnostic Front released the album Warriors with the hit "For My Family" which was largely a continuation of the band's crossover thrash sound.
For the 25th anniversary of their debut LP Victim in Pain, Bridge Nine Records released remastered versions of said album along with their first EP, United Blood, on November 17, 2009.
The band performed on the Persistence Tour in Europe in the winter of 2009 and have also been confirmed for Rebellion Festival 2012 in Blackpool, U.K.

Adrenalin O.D. was a popular hardcore punk band from New Jersey that existed from 1981 to 1990. They are best known for playing extremely fast music accompanied by humorous lyrics.
History
Adrenalin O.D. formed in 1981 from the ashes of late '70s punk band The East Paterson Boys Choir. A.O.D.'s first recordings saw release on the widely distributed New York Thrash cassette compilation released on ROIR cassettes in 1982. The compilation also featured the first recordings of the Beastie Boys, as well as prominent NYC punk bands like Kraut and the Washington DC band Bad Brains. The comedic and speedy "Paul's Not Home" became an instant college radio hit.
A.O.D.'s first vinyl release, a six song (EP) entitled Let's Barbeque, was released on their own Buy Our Records label. Because the budget was so tight, the band could only afford 15 minutes of studio time. They recorded all six tracks in one take with no overdubs. Buy Our Records became one of New Jersey's largest indie punk labels and springboarded the careers of many bands including Flag of Democracy, Raging Slab, and Pussy Galore.
Adrenalin O.D.'s first album entitled The Wacky Hijinks of Adrenalin O.D. showcased the band's use of blazing speed-punk and sarcastic lyrics, taking aim at the suburban experience with songs like "Middle Aged Whore", "Trans Am" (the inspiration for the Dead Milkmen's "Bitchin' Camaro"), and the crowd favorite "Rock n' Roll Gas Station". The album contains an untitled and blatantly obvious backmasked track. When played backwards, it is the band members saying in unison; "God is very, very nice. Be kind to animals. Satan sucks." The band turned down offers from virtually every major metal label looking to market the band to the emerging thrash metal crowds, maintaining that even though their songs had a metallic edge they were a punk band. Some of the songs on 'HumungousFungusAmongus' are the fastest hardcore tracks ever recorded. Adrenalin O.D. toured nationally and created a loyal following via their live shows (described by some as an experience somewhere between Minor Threat and Don Rickles.) The band's quick wit and on-stage banter was at times as much of an improv stand-up comedy act as a hardcore punk band, and fans coined the term "funny-punk" to describe their performances. Tracks that exhibit the band's quirky sense of humor include a punk rock cover of Henry Mancini's "Baby Elephant Walk", a surf rock version of "Hava Nagila" entitled "Surfin' Jew" aka "Surfin' Adam Meshell", and a track entitled "Masterpiece" which is a punk reworking of Jean-Joseph Mouret's 'Rondeau" from "Symphonies and Fanfares for the King's Supper" (which the band knew only as the theme from the PBS TV series Masterpiece Theatre).
By their third release Cruising With Elvis In Bigfoot's UFO, the band brought in producer Daniel Rey (who had worked with the Ramones, Misfits and Iggy Pop) to help the band's translation from hyper-speed to mid-tempo melodic punk. With songs like "Bulimic Food Fight", and "My Mom Can't Drive", Stereo Review Magazine ranked the album among the funniest records of all time, and the album was formative in the development of the punk sound of Fat Wreck Chords.
After parting ways with Adrenalin O.D. in 1986, Jack Steeples took over the guitar duties for Mental Decay. Mental Decay recorded and released 3 singles (Mental Decay, Elvis Demilo, and Walking Stick) plus 2 cuts a the Headache Records compilation with Jack on guitar. Jack left Mental Decay in 1995 and "cleaned up". He would rejoin Mental Decay again for a short time in 1996 to record and play a number shows. In December 1995, Jack would take over Bass duties and rejoin his friend and Adrenalin O.D. frontman Paul Richard in the Kowalskis. Jacks first show with the Kowalskis would be opening for Iggy Pop. Fronted by Kitty Kowalski, the Kowalskis released a single and a full length CD (All Hooped up on Goofballs) on the Blackout record label with Jack and Paul. After leaving the Kowalskis in 1999, Paul and Jack would go on to form SUX. SUX was together for 10 years, never releasing any recordings.
Band members Bruce Wingate and Wayne Garcia went on to form a three-man band Bruce Wayne in tribute to both of their first names and the secret identity of comic book hero Batman. In the mid-1990s Wingate was the musical director for two tours by cult figure Harvey Sid Fisher. He has continued to write and record as the frontman for many groups, including The International Brunch Mummies, Shyster Shyster & Flywheel, New Reagans, The Earls Of Sandwich, and the TXT PSTLZ (text pistols). He also formed a joke-techno band called Total Dick which progressed and renamed itself to District Allstarz.
Drummer Dave Scott spent three years exercising his rock–metal imperative with the ill fated New Jersey "supergroup" Scrooge (later Grimelord) with members of Genocide and Niblick Henbane, before going on to Atlantic Recording artists Lucy's Trance. He later relocated to Florida, and has played in The Hybrids, November Charlie, The F-Pipes and The Rondos. Dave Scott also went on to be a stand up comic, and still performs in Florida. Foster, son of fireballing 97-year-old Bill Foster, who is currently the only remaining alumnus still alive from Upsala College, went on to become the lead guitarist in Electric Frankenstein.
Adrenalin O.D. have reunited several times, soon to be June 4 in Danbury CT, but so far most recently to benefit CBGB's, along with The Dead Boys, Peter and the Test Tube Babies, and Flipper in August 2005. In 2007, Steeples and Richard reunited as "A.O.D." with Greg Farah on drums for a show at the Court Tavern in New Brunswick, NJ. In 1999, they reunited to record the 31-second track "Your Kung Fu Is Old...and Now You Must Die!!!" for the compilation CD Short Music For Short People.

Bold is a late 1980s youth crew hardcore band from Westchester County, New York, which along with bands like Youth Of Today and Side By Side were a part of the Youth Crew, and an influence in the late 80's straight edge hardcore scene. The band progressed to a more rock-oriented sound in its later years.
History
Originally called Crippled Youth, the band was formed in Katonah, New York by Matt Warnke (vocals), Tim Brooks (bass) and Drew Thomas (drums). After a couple of shows with Matt singing and playing guitar, they recruited John 'Zulu' Zuluaga on guitar, and Matt switched to just singing. They released a 7" EP entitled 'Join The Fight' on the California label New Beginning in 1986 before switching to the name Bold. It was under this name that they recorded the 11-song LP Speak Out. The record was supposed to be released on California's WishingWell Records, but was eventually released in 1988 on Revelation Records.
The band later recruited Tom Capone (Beyond/Shelter/Quicksand/etc.) on second guitar, and recorded a self-titled 5-song 7" in 1989, also on Revelation Records. The 7" is by many considered their best material, adding more melody to their straightforward hardcore sound. The 7" EP was re-issued on a 12" entitled 'Looking Back' in 1993, with 2 bonus tracks.
Bold re-united in 2005 with Warnke on vocals, Capone on guitar, Brooks on bass and Vinny Panza on drums. John Porcelly, who periodically played with the band in the 1980s, later joined on second guitar. To conincide with the re-union, Revelation released the retrospective CD The Search: 1985-1989, which contains the band's entire recorded output.
However, Warnke and Porcelly left in 2006, effectively breaking up the band. The bands' recordings from the period after back together, although allegedly completed, have yet to surface. A European tour with replacement members was planned for Summer 2007, but did not happen.

Blast (stylized as BL'AST!) was a California hardcore punk and rock band from Santa Cruz. The original lineup consisted of Clifford Dinsmore on vocals, Mike Neider and Steve Stevenson on guitars, Dave Cooper on bass, and Bill Torgerson on drums.
History
BLAST! began in 1982-83 and released its first album, The Power of Expression, in 1985. They recorded the album three times before releasing it. Stevenson left the group after the release of The Power of Expression and was briefly replaced by William DuVall, former guitarist of Atlanta, Georgia's Neon Christ;[1] from then on, Neider was the sole guitarist from that point on. The group caught the attention of SST Records, who signed them up for their next release, It's In My Blood in 1987. That same year, a 7-inch was released, including a cover of Alice Cooper's "School's Out". The band's third release for SST was Take The Manic Ride, which was released in 1989.
Cooper in 1989 was replaced by Ron Isa for the Manic Ride tour, and then Ron Isa was replaced by John Schuler for some Bl'ast! shows and post-Manic Ride demos.
Cliff Dinsmore was not in the group sometime in 1990 and co-founded the band Spaceboy. The rest continued on without him, with Neider taking over vocal duties. Blast officially ceased to exist in December 1990 and changed their name to Blackout (releasing one awesome 7-inch under that name) and then again to Lab (who also put out a 7-inch EP, as well as a hard-to-find four-song CD you could only get along with a Santa Cruz Skateboards order), continuing into the late 90s playing many shows w/ Fu Manchu. Brant Bjork moved to Santa Cruz to briefly join LAB before joining up with Fu Manchu.
Blast briefly reunited in 2001, playing a handful of shows on the West Coast. They were also planning to record again, but the band decided not to before this materialized.

Historia
Została założona w 1982 roku w Nowym Jorku przez Vinniego Stigmę (gitara) i Rogera Mireta. Do oryginalnego składu w 1982 roku dołączyli Ray Barbieri (perkusja), późniejszy lider grupy Warzone i Adam Moochie (bas). Grupa w swej twórczości łączyła m.in. stylistykę oi! i hardcore. W późniejszym czasie również oscylowała wokół thrash metalu. Ich debiutancka EP-ka United Blood ujrzała światło dzienne w 1983 roku. Płytą, która wyniosła Agnostic Front na przód amerykańskiej sceny hardcore skupionej wokół słynnego CBGB's była Victim In Pain (1984). Za bębnami zasiadł wtedy Dave Jones zastępując Barbieriego. AF dali sporo koncertów m.in. z takimi grupami jak The Cro-Mags i Murphy's Law.
Wydany w 1986 roku album Cause For Alarm był produkcją, którą trudno było ukończyć ze względu na stałe zmiany składu i problemy osobiste. Wydany w Combat Records Cause For Alarm zawierał thrashmetalowe wpływy, kreując nowy gatunek nazywany crossover. Z nowym składem w 1987 roku nagrali kolejny album Liberty And Justice. Scena hardcore przeżywała wtedy drobny kryzys, dlatego na płycie usłyszeć można punkowe dźwięki z wkrętami thrashowymi i metalowymi gitarowymi solówkami. Niedługo później Miret został aresztowany za posiadanie i zażywanie narkotyków. W więzieniu pisał nowe kawałki podczas gdy Stigma z resztą zespołu odbył pierwszy koncertowy tour po Europie. Texty napisane przez Mireta zasiliły płytę One Voice (1992), przy nagrywaniu której udział wzięli członkowie zespołów Madball i Sick of It All.
Ostatni koncert przed pierwszym 4 letnim zawieszeniem działalności grupy miał miejsce w CBGB's w 1993 roku i nazywał się Last Warning. Został potem wydany razem z pierwszą, odświeżoną EP-ką United Blood. Vinnie Stigma stwierdził, że nie podobało mu Last Warning i że nie cierpi tego albumu.
W 1997 roku muzycy Agnostic Front za sprawą Stigmy i Mireta wrócili do grania. Zaczęli nagrywać dla Epitaph Records (gdzie nagrywa m.in Bad Religion). Ostatnimi dwoma albumami, niezbyt dobrze przyjętymi przez słuchaczy, były Another Voice (2005) oraz wydany w 2006 double DVD/CD pack Live In CBGB's zarejestrowany 14 kamerami koncert w stylu "powrotu do korzeni". Grupa wydając ten koncert starała się uratować podupadające CBGB's.

7 Seconds – amerykański zespół hardcorepunkowy pochodzący z Reno (Nevada).Został założony w 1979 r. przez braci Kevina Secondsa i Steve'a Youtha. Pierwszy koncert zespołu odbył się 2 marca 1980 roku. 7 Seconds w swoich utworach i postawie scenicznej stara się wnosić do subkultury hardcore'owej pozytywne ideały. Uważany jest za żyjącą legendę tego gatunku. Członkowie zespołu aktywnie działają w ruchu Straight Edge. Po wydaniu kilku albumów, pod koniec lat 80. zaczęli eksperymentować z muzyką, co spotkało się z krytyką części fanów. W ostatnich latach zespół powrócił do swoich punkrockowych korzeni. Obecnie 7 Seconds nadal są aktywni i grają koncerty w USA, Europie i Japonii.
