Silvia Superstar (real name: Silvia García Pintos) and Billy King (real name: Antonio Domínguez) formed The Killer Barbies in 1994, and quickly began releasing their material on the Spanish label Toxic Records. They released their first album Dressed to Kiss in 1995. One year later they released a second album ...Only for Freaks! shortly after featuring in the Jess Franco movie Killer Barbys. They recorded a third album in 1998, Big Muff. The three albums sold more than 10,000 copies each.
After these three successful albums in Spain, the band signed to the German label Drakkar Records, to get a larger audience outside Spain. In 2000 they released their international debut Bad Taste containing a selection of songs from their first three albums re-recorded. In 2002 they released the single Candy featuring a vocal participation of Bela B. of Die Ärzte fame and eventually some new material with the album Sin Is In in 2003. Since then they have been silent except for the compilation of b-sides Freakshow in 2004. The same year, Silvia Superstar was featured in the Show "Die drei ??? und die singende Schlange" by the German comedy theater company Das Vollplaybacktheater.

Mayhem (ang. okaleczenie) – norweska grupa muzyczna wykonująca black metal, zaliczana do prekursorów gatunku. W początkowym okresie działalności utożsamiana z nurtem satanizmu teistycznego. Zespół powstał w Oslo w 1983 roku z inicjatywy gitarzysty Øysteina „Euronymousa” Aarsetha, do ktorego dołączyli dwaj szkolni koledzy: perkusista Kjetil Manheim i Jørn „Necrobutcher” Stubberud, grający na gitarze basowej. Inspiracją dla nazwy zespołu był utwór brytyjskiego zespołu Venom pt. „Mayhem with Mercy”.
W 1993 roku zespół został rozwiązany w wyniku śmierci Aarsetha - lidera i założyciela Mayhem. Grupę ponownie reaktywowano w 1995 roku z udziałem gitarzysty Rune „Blasphemera” Ericksona. Na przestrzeni lat w zespole występowało kilkunastu muzyków, mimo częstych zmian utrzymał łatwo rozpoznawalny styl oparty na szybkich partiach perkusji oraz nisko strojonej gitarze basowej.
Z zespołem była związana organizacja okultystyczna Inner Circle, którą założył Aarseth oraz Outer Circle założona przez fanów zespołu, będąc odpowiedzialna w dużym stopniu za falę przemocy oraz przestępstw na tle antyreligijnym, w tym podpalenia kościołów luterańskich, co miało miejsce na początku lat 90 XX wieku w Norwegii. Muzycznie zespół prezentował różne oblicza black metalu, łącząc w swej muzyce wpływy industrialu oraz muzyki elektronicznej.
Do 2007 roku zespół wydał cztery wysoko oceniane albumy studyjne oraz szereg kompilacji i albumów koncertowych. Zespół z biegiem lat stał się przedmiotem krytycyzmu oraz wielu filmów i publikacji dokumentujących przemoc w muzyce metalowej.

Blood Red Shoes formed in late 2004, after Steven Ansell and Laura-Mary Carter's previous bands (Cat On Form and Lady Muck respectively) broke up and they decided to "have a jam". In an interview in Berlin, Laura-Mary explained that the band's name was taken from a Ginger Rogers/Fred Astaire musical, in which Ginger Rogers had turned a pair of white dancing shoes red with blood due to the amount of dancing she had done practising for the role.
The band cite a large swathe of US-based underground punk and rock music as their primary influence, drawing inspiration from Babes in Toyland, Nirvana, Queens of the Stone Age, Q and not U, Pixies, Fugazi and Sonic Youth, although they also regularly highlight English artists Blur and PJ Harvey as music heroes.[citation needed] The band frequently distance themselves from current English guitar music and consider themselves to be a punk band, in ethos and attitude, if not in their immediate musical style. Blood Red Shoes deal with themes of frustration, anger, alienation, boredom, doubt, psychosis, confusion, escape and ultimately the hope of freedom or change, in their lyrics.[citation needed]
The band openly support anti-fascist campaigns such as Love Music Hate Racism, contributing on the second CD of the 2007 LMHR compilation album with the track "Can't Find the Door", and have also played the feminist festival Ladyfest in the past

Asta Kask is a punk band from Töreboda, Sweden. It was founded as "X-tas" in 1978, but changed to Asta Kask in 1980. In 1984 the band started working with Rosa Honung Records. After the 1986 release of the "Aldrig en LP" the band split up. In 1989 the band was reunited and played a few gigs, but then went dormant until 1992 when they played at Rosa Honung's tenth anniversary. Then the band went quiet again until 2003 when they started touring again as a "revenge" for all the unfairness they've been put through. The drummer, Bjurre, quit the band in late 2004, and was replaced by Dadde (of Wolfbrigade). During 2005 a conflict with Rosa Honung that had been growing for many years reached a point where the band could no longer work with the label so they signed a deal with Burning Heart Records. In April 2006, Asta Kask recorded their first new album in 20 years.

The Varukers are a UK hardcore punk band formed in 1979 by vocalist Anthony "Rat" Martin, which produced its most influential recordings in the early 1980s. The band are one of the first to play in the musical style of the hardcore punk band Discharge, known as D-beat. Also, like Discharge, The Varukers' lyrics carry an anarchist political ideology.
